Skaters also need health insurance. Time is the biggest commitment to roller derby.
Practices are 3 evenings per week with bouts on select weekends.
No skating skills necessary!

The Grand Rapids Area Roller Derby Association (GRARDA) is trying to raise funds for their league to help differ expenses incurred throughout the 2013 Roller Derby Season. We are very proud to say GRARDA is a skater-owned league, however, that also means we need your help in providing our community with more opportunities to watch the Iron Range Maidens & Attackonites play derby. Your donation will help us pay for things like practice space, travel expenditures, home bout operations, and equipment. GRARDA is a501.c3 non-profit organization, so any donations are tax deductable on your part. Please check your local regulations!

All Maidens are required to have the following equipment: Quad Style Skates Helmet Mouth guard Elbow pads Wrist guards Knee pads Equipment ranges in price from $250 – $700.
